Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Cars, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Police report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.
The liquid had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Police then discovered numerous other marked cars and house walls in the surrounding area.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement state initial examinations indicate the substance was likely blood from a person.
"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are currently not aware of any physical harm in association with the incident," they stated.
Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the public for details.
An important representative said the vandalism made him speechless and required to be solved rapidly.
"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, recalling the killing of nine people by a assailant targeting individuals of foreign heritage in February 2020.
