An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
