The Turin Giants Name Ex- Italy Manager the Experienced Gaffer

The Serie A powerhouse have named ex- Italy manager Spalletti to lead the team until the end of the season.

The 66-year-old steps in for the Croatian manager, who was dismissed after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio recently.

Tudor arrived at the club in March filling the shoes of Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint following a string of eight matches without a victory.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday moving them to seventh position in the league - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
